A third-generation Blais Electrician, Patrick cares about people. His experience spans electrical challenges presented by homes and buildings built in the late 1800s all the way to new construction. Whether you need a custom installation for an unusual device or have a project to be done in stages, Patrick will make it work and recommend the most cost-effective solution.

When he's not on the tools or developing the business, you'll find Patrick speaking french to his two young children, paddling with his wife and dog, mountain biking with his mountain biking group, chasing chickens around his urban back yard, or spending quality time at home hosting friends for backyard cob oven pizza parties.

With an unwavering commitment to safety and professionalism, Kyle is an integral part of the Blais Electric team. After graduating from Laurier University, he shifted gears, continuing his education in the trades. Now, with more than ten years of experience as an electrician, Kyle is passionate about the work he is doing in his hometown of Guelph, Ontario.

Kyle loves backcountry camping, getting out into the wilderness as often as possible. He also loves to spend time with friends and family - regularly entertaining and hosting with his wife, Jess, and their dog Murphy. Kyle welcomed his first baby daughter into his family on May 16, 2021.

Jeremy is Blais Electric's first employee where Jeremy started his electrician adventure.  Trustworthy and hardworking, Jeremy is a big lovable guy with a huge heart. Reliable and charming with an approachable sense of humour, he likes to keep his workspace tidy, thrives in problem-solving and respects electricity by making safety a top priority for his clients.

When he's not wiring homes, Jeremy can be found playing with his 2-year-old son, fine-tuning his grilling skills behind the barbecue, mountain biking, hitting up the driving range with friends, camping and kayaking, and going to the cottage with his wife and extended family.

Tom is a dependable and hardworking individual. No matter the size of the job - big or small - he always gives 100% to his work. Tom's main area of interest in the electrical world is green technology, but he also enjoys the challenge of everyday electrical projects.

In his spare time, Tom can be found spending quality time with his wife and daughter. He likes rock music and helps his friends as a sound technician for their band.

John prides himself on being confident, hardworking, and committed to the work he does. He aims for 100% customer satisfaction in each and every project he takes on, embracing new experiences as a way to continue to learn and grow his expanding skill-set.

Outside of work, John enjoys going for walks with his two dogs, watching sports, and bowling. He loves spending his free time connecting with family and friends.

Alissa

Known for fostering community well-being, Alissa moved to Guelph in 2011 for a role in community leadership. Through this experience, she fell in love with the city and has happily called Guelph home ever since. In her role over seeing the Blais Electric office, Alissa brings 10 years of management to championing our growing business. She approaches conversations with care and respect, and is experienced in working collaboratively with all kinds of people.

 

In her spare time, Alissa leads art projects that support social justice, equity, accessibility, and reconciliation. She loves hiking with her partner and their dog, practicing yoga, and working with her hands in the dirt.

Yanelli Saur is our new office administrator. She brings 10 years of experience in administrative and logistics roles. She believes small businesses  lead the way in innovation and are such an important part of our community and economy. She loves helping small businesses achieve their goals. 

 

Yanelli is always looking to expand her skills. She is daily inspired by her two sons.  She loves travelling and learning new languages.

 

In her spare time she can be found spending quality  time with family and friends. She enjoys cooking spicy food, reading and strolling on the beach.

Noah is a driven and reliable electrical apprentice, whose top priority is exceeding customers' expectations, and doing so in a safe manner. Noah's interest in the electrical field started in his desire to solve problems, and making a tangible difference for customers and the community. Noah believes that the journey of mastering a challenging skill, such as the electrical trade, and then seeing his efforts have the effect of bringing value to the lives of others, is one of the most meaningful paths that one can take.

Outside of work, Noah is passionate about reading, music, volunteering, spending quality time with friends and family, and watching Chelsea Football Club matches.

Ami is Patrick's wife and a key component to the inner workings of the Blais Electric company.  When Blais Electric first began in 2013, Patrick would perform the electrical work and Ami would perform all the administrator's duties. 

 

Ami's role in the company has evolved as the business has expanded into a part-time consultant on solving problems, asking tough questions, noticing inefficiencies and holds the team accountable to the companies purpose of "seeing possibilities in all that we do so we can change what is possible in the trades".  

When not bugging everyone with 'just one more comment", Ami can be found chasing her and Patrick's wild and free children out of trees, mountain biking, entertaining friends in their backyard, gathering community, camping and canoeing.
