TERMS OF SERVICE

Thank you for considering Blais Electric. We look forward to working with you! The following terms of business are designed to provide clarity and peace of mind for you and for us. If you have any questions about them, please ask. 
 

FEES AND INVOICING Every effort will be made to estimate material availability and pricing as accurately as possible. However, availability and pricing are currently being affected by the pandemic. Your estimate is good for 30 days from the date of issue. Material pricing in particular is affected by the pandemic and may need to be adjusted.

All jobs over $2000 require a 60% deposit before commencement. If your job has multiple stages, you will be invoiced on the completion of each stage. Full payment is due on receipt of the invoice. 3% interest will be charged after 30 days calculated per annum. 

 

Additional time or return visits required due to a lack of preparedness on the part of the customer will be billed additionally for labour plus materials required outside of the quoted estimate.

Customer-supplied materials are not warranted by Blais Electric and any repairs will be invoiced at our standard rate. 

​

Please know that because of the nature of electrical work, you may experience a power outage during our visit to your home. 

 

Any extra requests made on-site during our visit or by phone or email that are not included in the original estimate are considered an ‘extra’ and a change order will be issued and must be approved by the owner in writing before commencement. 

 

Blais Electric reserves the right to suspend any further work on past due accounts.

CONFIDENTIALITY Confidential information provided by the client for the delivery of the project will not be divulged to third parties without the prior consent of the client. 

 

Both parties will safeguard each other’s respective intellectual property so that any ideas, documents and proprietary rights will be the assigned property of the initiating author.

LIABILITIESBlais Electric’s performance is subject to the timely supply of support information and confirmation by the client

 

TERMINATION Termination of this contract can be initiated by either party with 1 week written notice being provided by the party initiating the termination. 

 

Any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by Blais Electric on behalf of the client shall become payable irrespective of the date of termination.
